Clinics

We hold a range of specialist clinics run by the nurse practitioners and doctor. These are by appointment only and include the following:

Antenatal ClinicPatients are seen by the doctors/midwives during surgery hours, this is by appointment only.
Baby/Postnatal Clinic - Tuesday The baby clinics are run by the doctors for child developmental checks and immunisations. They also allow an opportunity to discuss problems, eg sleeping, feeding and child health worries, with a doctor or health visitor.
Asthma Clinic - Wednesday 9.00am - 12 noon This is run by our nurse practitioner in conjunction with the doctors, by appointment only.Diabetic Clinic - Friday 9.00am-12 noonThis is run by nurse practitioner Joan in conjunction with dietician Bridie by appointment only.
Family PlanningContraceptive care is provided by all the doctors and nurse practitioners during surgery hours.
Well Woman Clinics - FridayThis clinic is run by Flo for smears, postnatal checks with a doctor and discussion of women's health issues.

Travel Immunisations/VaccinationsPlease make an appointment at least two weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations which are not covered by the NHS. A list of these charges is held at reception.
Flu VaccinationAn influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes.
Please contact the reception staff in October for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit will be arranged to undertake this facility.
